When I realised how far behind my children I’d become in understanding and using technology, I forced myself to start reading articles and experiment with different software and websites. So it certainly rang true for me when I read Jason Jones article where he said the most valuable advice he’d been given was to “consider it part of my job to try out new technology regularly, even if it didn’t seem directly connected to our work.”
He offers a few pieces of advice before suggesting “Pick a new thing regularly and try it” in his article titled ‘how to learn the basics of digital technology’.
By the way, if you’ve never given dropbox a go, I’d suggest you put it on your list of new things to try.
