Centacare Cairns has been delivering social services to the Far North Queensland region since 1981. As an organisation that grew from an identified need for counselling and family relationships services, Centacare has developed significantly as it has maintained its commitment to assist people in need of support. Centacare continues to evolve its services in response to community needs as well as moving towards a strategic framework that also considers sustainable and long term programs.
The purpose of this role is to lead Centacare Cairns in the effective and sustainable delivery of its programs of social justice through service, to foster the dignity, equality and participation for all service users. Reporting to the Catholic Bishop of Cairns and the Diocesan CEO, the role leads internal accountability for ensuring whole-of-organisation performance. This opportunity has become available due to the retirement of the very successful current Director who has held the role since 1998.
